Experis®  Gases for the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry — for results
you can rely on

Air Products has been a partner to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry for decades. We understand that quality, traceability and reliability are your prime concerns.

That's why we've developed Experis® gases, a range of dedicated speciality gases, chemicals and gas handling equipment for your industry. The Experis® gases range is designed for use in production, R&D, and quality control. The range includes pure gases and gas mixtures for:

  • On-line analysis of raw materials, intermediate products and finished products, including analysis of trace impurities and characterization of the composition of chemical and pharmaceutical processing products
  • Chemical synthesis or other processes
  • Laboratory analysis
  • Plant emissions monitoring
  • Calibration of your instrument
  • Alarm testing

Our Experis® gas mixtures are highly accurate and fully traceable to international reference standards such as pharmacopeia.

Two stage or not two stage?
That is the question

Generally single stage regulators tend to be less expensive than two stage regulators.  Now, single stage regulators can be well suited to certain applications, such as short term usage, but for continual usage they could prove a false economy.

In a single stage regulator, delivery pressure increases as cylinder pressure reduces, because there is less pressure exerted on the valve stem over time.  Frequent adjustment is necessary to maintain a constant delivery pressure.

The two stage cleverly eliminates "regulator creep", by reducing the pressure in two stages.  Like the single stage regulator as the cylinder pressure reduces with use, the first stage creeps, but the second stage maintains the pressure, because the pressure between stage one and two is so low.  Pretty neat!
