For Medical Card holders
If you are a Medical Card holder, your rental payments are made directly by the local HSE Primary Care office.
For Non-Medical Card holders
If you are a non-Medical Card holder, you will receive a monthly invoice for the rental of the equipment and support service at the end of each month. Please note we accept payment by Direct Debit, Credit Card, Laser Card or personal cheque.
Paying by monthly rental
If you are paying a monthly rental: all rentals of BiPAP devices and masks are classified under the Community Drugs Payment Scheme as ‘prescribed medical appliances’. Your chemist will advise you of the address of your local office for refund claims.
Under the HSE Drugs Payment Scheme, no individual or family has to pay more than the approved monthly threshold amount in any calendar month for approved prescribed drugs, medicines and appliances for use by that person or his/her family in that month.
To claim your refund, you will need to write a covering letter requesting a refund (remember to state your PPS number) to the appropriate local HSE office and include:
We would strongly recommend you also keep a photocopy of all of these details for your own records.
You may consider purchasing your BiPAP equipment outright. For details of the options available, please contact our Homecare Helpline on LoCall 1850 240202 (ROI only) or Freephone 0800 3285875 (NI only) and ask for a member of our sales team.
If your Medical Card status changes at any time please contact our office immediately, this will ensure we invoice appropriately.
