High flow infant cannula
These cannulae are used to deliver high flow oxygen to paediatric patients. High flow cannulae are designed to deliver oxygen to infants using above 2 litres per minute, which is classed as a high flow rate in paediatric patients.
High flow infant cannulae are used for children ranging from 9 months up to around 5 years old.
The nasal cannula prongs are slightly wider to allow the 2 litres per minute flow to come through to the patient.
Infant non re-breathe mask
Non re-breathe masks are designed for patients ranging from 0 – 12 years in age, and are used for patients with cluster headaches and sometimes for resuscitation.
The infant non re-breathe mask has two vents at the side of the mask, one covered by a flap and the other vent open.
These masks are designed to give the patient the highest possible percentage of oxygen in the shortest period of time.
Note:
All masks must be ordered by a medical professional using a Home Oxygen Order Form (HOOF) clearly stating all the required information.
Paediatric tracheotomy masks
Paediatric tracheotomy masks are designed for patients ranging from 0 – 12 years in age. They are exactly the same as the adult tracheotomy mask only smaller and still need a venturi barrel attached to the mask to deliver a fixed percentage of oxygen.
Cylinder bags
We provide one cylinder bag per patient free of charge when we deliver ambulatory cylinders. This has been designed to fit both the cylinder and the conserver into the bag to make it easier for you to carry ambulatory cylinders.
