About Ricardo
As a fully-qualified welder, Ricardo’s work involves visiting agents and customers to advise them on how to optimise their welding processes and welding methods and, of course, on their use of welding gases. As well as advising customers, he provides training and regularly demonstrates welding and cutting techniques for customers and at trade fairs and exhibitions.
His experience
Ricardo began his working life as a professional soldier, serving as a technical specialist and sheet metal worker and he gained nine welding diplomas. After leaving the army, he worked as a welder, pipe-fitter and maintenance engineer for gas turbines and water treatment installations. In 2007, he qualified as an International Welding Specialist.
Despite his qualifications, Ricardo says that where welding and cutting are concerned you never stop learning. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of welding processes and gases, helping customers to get the best possible outcome from their welding systems.
On a personal note ...
Ricardo is passionate about welding and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. In his free time he teaches welding at the SBB Gouda evening school. He also enjoys karate, snowboarding and spending time with his family.
