About Phil
Phil has 37 years experience at Air Products. He joined the company as an apprentice, before taking up the position of craftsman welder at the firm’s factory in North Wales. This position also saw Phil travel across Europe to plants in Greece, Germany, France and the Netherlands, installing and maintaining process equipment. He now works as an applications specialist providing technical support and product training to the metal fabrication industry. His industry experience and practical knowledge are valued by customers.
His experience
Phil works directly with customers, providing technical support and practical solutions in response to their problems and enquires, advising them on best practice and correct procedures for individual applications. He has also recently become a certified gas equipment inspector.
Phil has also been involved in the development of new products for the welding and laser equipment markets, specifically advising on the Maxx® gases range, which has simplified welding gas selection.
On a personal note…
Based in Sandbach, Cheshire, Phil is a keen rugby union fan. As well as following his home country, Wales, he plays for Sandbach Rugby Union Football Club. Phil also enjoys travelling, particularly in Europe.
