About Paul
Paul is a senior regional welding and cutting applications specialist at Air Products. He is responsible for a team of people providing technical assistance and sales support to metal fabricators and agents around the country. Backed by his experience and extensive technical know-how, Paul technically presents to industry colleagues at his local branch of The Welding Institute on occasions.
His experience
Paul did a City and Guilds apprenticeship as a welder in 1973 and qualified in 1978. During his career, he gained practical experience of a wide range of welding applications – from thin sheet metal fabrications to heavy earthmoving equipment, mining machinery and pressure vessels. Prior to joining Air Products, he was a Technical sales engineer and demonstrator for a large welding distribution business, providing technical advice and assistance to all kinds of metal fabrication companies. During this time, he gained first-hand knowledge of many different welding technologies and systems.
On a personal note…
When it comes to his interests, Paul literally looks to the stars. He enjoys nothing more than spending time studying the planets and reading about astronomical physics as well as watching cricket and football. He believes that being happy is the main purpose of life.
